We released Google gadget on iGoogle. The gadget transmits the information of Zenkoukai.

On the content of Google gadget, we provide the latest information about medical care and nursing care such as our corporate official blog “One Step with New Nursing Welfare”, worldwide news about influenza and “Society of Medical Welfare News” which provide the latest information about social welfare.

For existing user of iGoogle can use the gadget only clicking the banner blow. Please make it useful for your daily life.

Released “Zenkoukai Photo Community”

We released web service named after Zenkoukai Photo Community which is photo viewing web service on the internet. The families of customers, who can not come to our facility frequently, can watch photos of our customer who uses our service wherever.

We are very careful about privacy of our customer, therefore, the security is very strict and only users who became members can access to the community.

“Santafe☆sta 2010”

Our biggest summer event“Santafe☆sta ”was a great success at Santafe Garden　Hills on Saturday, 28th of August. Customers, their families and neighbors joined this event.
There were several new fantastic events this year.

Early this year, Zenkoukai invited people from Nanmokumura and Kanna, Gunma Prefecture and Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture, where we had a volunteer training course. They had booths for their local specialties introducing their regions.

We invited people from Taiko Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd, which manufactures a very advanced system for infectious disease prevention for the new type of influenza installed at our facilities. They came with free samples of Cleverin Spray and Cleverin for all guests at the festival.

In addition, we also welcomed people from Cyberdyne Inc. which developed the“Robot Suit HAL”. They demonstrated HAL to our guests and let some of them experience their “Tacto”, a interactive multitouch system using a 46 inch screen.

In Food and Beverages section, “Shinkinedo” offered their sweets. They make safe sweets for old residents for us.
Jinro Japan Inc. gave free samples of Makkori, Korean Sake.

On the stage, there were plenty of fantastic events such as Wadaiko*1, Bon Dance*2, etc. which were well performed by volunteers from the region.

We also held a performance contest among our facilities. A chorus group with residents and staff from the Nursing Healthcare Facility for Elderly, Aqua Higashi-Kojiya, sang beautifully and won the first prize.

Zenkoukai will celebrate the fourth “Santafe☆sta 2010”summer festival on 28th August.
As last year, “Shinkinedo”, who makes special safe sweets for the elderly, will have a booth for their sweets.
Cyberdyne Inc. will demonstrate their robot suit “HAL”.
And also, we invite people from Nanmokumura and Kanna, Gunma Prefecture and Motegi, Tochigi Prefecture where Zenkoukai had volunteer trainings. They will have a booth offering their local specialties and introducing their regions.
On top of that, there will be a flea market and a game corner similar to last year.
We are planning a festival which everyone will enjoy. Please join us at “Santafe☆sta 2010”.
Date and Hours: Saturday, 28th August, 3:00pm-8:00pm (will be postponed if it rains : Sunday, 29th August)

An essay written by Mr. Katsuhiko Goto, a member of our Advisory Board was uploaded to the official website of Kasama City, Ibaraki Prefecture.

Kashima-shi was commissioned to conduct a survey on contribution by the elderly to the local city, their interest, experience, actual participation etc. From the result, Mr. Goto wrote an essay to clarify the obstruction factors for the elderly’s participation in regional contribution activities and hints for introducing a regional advisory system.

The 8th Workshop

The 8th Workshop was held with the help of Mr. Shinji Ohmaki, a popular contemporary artist. He also acted as facilitator.
Customers, staff members, local people and volunteers created flower curtains at the 8th workshop, held at Kojiya Elementary School Gymnasium.
We believe that such workshops are more than just a place to enjoy craftwork. It should be a place of communication, which is the main purpose of this workshop.
